Pondering Podcasts: mornings are best met with murder

For fans of true crime and bone chilling tales, there is no better way to start your day than by listening to “Morning Cup of Murder.”

The podcast, created in 2019, is a daily show with episodes lasting around 10 minutes. Each episode covers an event in true crime history on the date of the podcast’s release. The events, ranging in topics of early English royalty to modern national scares, provide an interesting and educating start to the day.

Unlike other true crime podcasts, “Morning Cup of Murder” provides a brief overview of events. Although these are detailed recaps and very easy to follow, if you are looking for an in-depth crime breakdown and analysis, this is not exactly that. Hostess Korina Biemesderfer uses her short 10 minutes or less to leave the listener informed on the general details of information as covered by those involved in the original investigation as well as the news surrounding it.
This podcast does not have the time to do a complete breakdown like those seen in “Unsolved Murders” or “Crime Junkie”; however, if you are looking for a brief and well-hosted podcast to start your day, this is it.

There is no other way I like to enjoy my morning than with my coffee and “Morning Cup of Murder”. This podcast deserves a 5/5 rating.

“Morning Cup of Murder” can be streamed on most major podcast platforms.
